USTA Leagues

USTA League Tennis is the world's largest recreational tennis league providing organized, structured team matches for all ability levels. Approximately 500,000 players compete nationwide, with over 124,000 adult and senior players coming from the USTA Southern Section alone. The program is open to women and men 18 years of age and older and features a local, state and sectional championship and culminates in a national championship in most levels (NTRP levels 2.5 - 5.0).

Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced player, this program has a spot for you. There is no better way to have fun, make friends and compete than USTA League Tennis.

ADULT 18 & OVER

The Adult 18 & Over is the biggest league and allows any player who is 18 and over a chance to be part of a team. The division levels offered are 2.0-5.0+, with the 2.0 serving as the beginner level. The 5.0+ level allows two 5.5 players to join a team.

Team format of 2 lines of singles and 3 lines of doubles for team match in the 3.0-4.5 levels. 2.0, 2.5 and 5.0+ levels will be 1 singles and 2 lines of doubles. Local leagues may alter team format.

Local league winners will have a chance to compete at state, sectionan and/or a national championship if the team qualifies!

ADULT 40 & OVER

The Adult 40 & Over is USTA's newest age division and allows players 40 and over a chance to compete against players closer in age. The division levels offered are 3.0-4.5+, with the 4.5+ allowing two 5.0 players to join the team.

Team format is 2 lines of singles and 3 lines of doubles. Local league winners will have a chance to compete at state, sectionan and/or a national championship if the team qualifies!

ADULT 55 & OVER

The Adult 55 & Over is a league offering for those players who are 55 years of age or older. The division levels offered are 3.0-4.0 and 9.0 combined. The 9.0 combined offering allows 5.0-level players to compete with a team.

Team format consists of 3 lines of doubles. Local league winners will have a chance to compete at state, sectionan and/or a national championship if the team qualifies!

ADULT 65 & OLDER

The Adult 65 & Over is a USTA Southern-recognized league comprised of players 65 years of age and older. The division levels offered are 3.0-4.0 and 9.0 combined.

Team format consists of 3 lines of doubles. Local league winners will have a chance to compete at state and/or a sectional championship! There is no national advancement.

MIXED 18 & OVER, 40 & OVER, 55 & OVER and 65 & OVER

USTA  Mixed is one of the most social USTA Leagues available! This league consists of level offerings that range from 2.5 combined 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0, which allows men and women players of different or same NTRP ratings to come together to form a doubles team.

Team format is 3 lines of doubles. The Mixed Doubles 18 & Over, 40 & Over and 55 & Over league allows teams an opportunity to advance to a state, sectional and/or national championship for teams that qualify.

COMBO DOUBLES 18 & OVER

The Combo Doubles 18 & Over allows friends, family and co-workers to combine their levels to play on a team together. The division level offerings are 2.5 and combined 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5 and 9.5.

Team format is 3 lines of doubles for men and women. In addition, USTA Southern offers Combo Doubles 40 & Over at the 5.5, 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 levels and Combo Doubles 55 & Over at the 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 levels.

State and sectional opportunities are available for the teams that qualify.

BB&T TRI-LEVEL

The BB&T Tri-Level League offers less populated areas the opportunity to participate in League Tennis by allowing players of different NTRP ratings to form a team. For example, individual 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 teams would play on the same team. 

The division levels offered are 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 3.0, 3.5, 4.0. Team format is 3 lines of doubles for men and women. Winners of local play advance to the state championship.

FLEX LEAGUE

Interested in scheduling matches on your own time? Then Flex League is right for you! Singles and doubles are offered.

Flex League allows players to compete against similarly-rated opponents in singles or doubles. Adult and Senior Division levels of 2.5-4.5 are offered.
