Tennis Nashville Fall Classic a Big Success!

2017 Tennis Nashville Fall Tournament

Jointly sponsored by Tennis Nashville and Nashville Tennis Meetup, the second annual Tennis Nashville Fall Classic Tournament was held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville, Tennessee. Sixty players converged on the courts for an afternoon of social tennis and eager competition on two levels, to compete for placement.  Many of the players knew each other from Nashville Tennis Meetup, but there were quite a few newcomers who joined in, making a great day for both playing tennis and meeting new players in the community!

Ensworth Advanced Tournament Player UTR Tournament Using PlaySight Technology

Ensworth School welcomes you to our Advanced Tournament Player December Singles Event. This event is for players with UTR's 5.00 through 12.00. Singles Draws are based on UTR's, not age or gender. Play will take play December 1st 4:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday December 2nd 9:00am-9:00pm, and Sunday as needed. PlaySight Technology will be used so all matches will be live streamed and players with the PlaySight app will be able to record their matches using their portable device. Players will receive Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) credit for all matches played.

2017 Tennis Nashville Fall Classic Tournament

Registration is now OPEN for the 2017 Tennis Nashville Fall Classic Tournament! Jointly sponsored by Nashville Tennis Meetup and Tennis Nashville, the tournament will be held at the Centennial Sportsplex Tennis Center on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Tournament sign-in will begin at 11:00 am the day of the tournament.

There will be a mixer immediately following the tournament (location to be announced) with refreshments, that will have drawings for cool prizes.

2017 Adult MUNI Successful Tournament

2017 Adult MUNI sponsored by Tennis Nashville

Following a multi-year absence, Tennis Nashville brought back one of the most popular adult tournaments in the area, The MUNI, on Sept 9-10 at Centennial Sportsplex.  Events featured singles, doubles, and mixed doubles in NTRP, age, and open divisions and attracted over 60 entries in its first year back.  Top performers received awards and all participants received a commemorative tournament logo cooling towel.  Photos of the event can be found either in our Tennis Nashville photo galleries at http://tennisnashville.net/photo-gall

The MUNI Jr. Championships May 5-7

Join us for one of the most anticipated junior tournaments of the season!

--State Level 3 tournament - ages 10-18 with 5 age divisions
--Location: Centennial Sportsplex; Nashville - 13 hard courts + indoor courts in case of rain
--Standard scoring with 10-point tiebreak 3rd set
--Awards for Main Draw & Consolation Champions and Finalists
--Play to begin Friday evening/Saturday morning based on number of players
--Draws to be posted Wednesday or Thursday prior to event
--Commemorative cooling towel and pizza party for all participants!

New Doubles Tourney a Huge Success!

Tennis Nashville and Nashville Tennis Meetup teamed up to present their first ever Fall doubles tournament.  The 64 participants were divided up into 8 color teams of 4 doubles teams each and competed against each other for prizes and fun on a beautiful November day.  Afterwards players mingled and enjoyed food and drink at a mixer where large prizes were handed out at an entertaining raffle.  Special thanks to all organizations/businesses that contributed to the event as well as our reliable volunteers. The winning team and MVP doubles teams are listed below:

Nashville Shores Women's $25,000 Pro Tennis Classic

The Nashville Shores Women's $25,000 Pro Tennis Classic is a new tournament on the 2016 USTA Pro Circuit and is part of the new "Collegiate Series." We are excited to bring women's professional tennis back to Music City. This event will feature up and coming players as well as veterans of the tour. Expect to see a number of local players from throughout Tennessee and the South.
