A Future Music City Tennis Park

A Future Music City Tennis Park

Nashville Needs a New Tennis Facility!

Can you imagine the Greer Stadium site turned into a state-of-the-art tennis center with indoor and outdoor courts?

Do you feel that Nashville is on the short end of the court when it comes to great tennis facilities? Frustrated by the shortage of indoor courts? Of no clay courts? Of a lack of a decent venue for major tournaments?

Now is your chance to make a difference and help to get these problems solved!

Tennis Nashville is proposing to re-purpose the Greer Stadium site into a state-of-the-art tennis center with indoor and outdoor courts and facilities.  Christened Music City Tennis Park, it would include 8 indoor court and 24 outdoor courts, with youth short courts incorporated into the plan.  The courts will be placed in a beautiful park-like setting with walking paths and public viewing spaces. As a public/private partnership, Music City Tennis Park will become a fantastic regional hub of tennis activity, including community, collegiate and professional events.

Two public forums were held at Adventure Science Center Sept 21 & 24 with a large contingent of tennis supporters in attendance.  We made our voices heard and submitted over 150 emails of support and are now waiting on a decision from the METRO Parks and Recreation Board.  Stay tuned for the latest details and keep supporting tennis!
